Breast cancer is the second leading cause of women’s death from cancer in the U.S. after skin cancer. Fortunately, it can be successfully treated when found early through screening tests, when chances for survival are highest. Unfortunately, many women in our community are uninsured or underinsured and cannot afford a potentially life-saving mammogram. Breast cancer screening can save lives. That is why The Crown Jewels Chapter of The Links, Incorporated has partnered with The C.W. Williams Community Health Center, Inc. to raise money for underserved women in our community, so that they can to receive potentially life-saving mammograms.
